Reflections on Attending the 2024 AfroTech Conference in Houston

Attending the 2024 AfroTech Conference in Houston was an incredible experience that I will not soon forget. It was the perfect event to connect with like-minded Black professionals in the technology industry, and I walked away feeling inspired and motivated to continue making an impact.

AfroTech provided an amazing platform to network, learn, and grow. The conference featured a wide range of events, from informational sessions to Tech Talks, each designed to equip us with valuable knowledge and skills. I especially enjoyed the Tech Talks, where I gained new insights on the latest trends and innovations in tech, and the chance to learn from some of the brightest minds in the field.

One of the highlights of the event was the Block Party hosted by Blavity, which was an absolute blast. The evening was filled with energy, incredible music, and performances from some amazing special guests, including Jagged Edge, Slim Thug, Bun B, and Celebrity DJ and Producer Brian Michael Cox. It was a perfect blend of professional networking and celebration, and I had a great time connecting with others while enjoying the performances.

The best part of attending AfroTech was meeting so many passionate individuals who share my goals and initiatives. I’m excited about the potential for collaboration with everyone I connected with, and I’m eager to bring some of the ideas we discussed to life.
