At this point, we have all been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic in one way or another. Adjusting to all the changes with wearing masks and dining out has been difficult to put it mildly.

This new “normal” is something that I’m learning to deal with, but it has not been easy, so you can understand why I did not have high expectations when I dined at The Breakfast Bar last week while visiting California.

Boy was I wrong!!! They only allowed outside patio dining due to Covid-19, but because they are located less than a block away from the beach, the weather and view were both equally beautiful.

The wait was about 30-45 minutes, but I think this was due to the limited outside seating area that had to be utilized to comply with the laws of the state. We used our wait time to walk to the nearby beach to explore the shops, take some photos, and buy a few souvenirs.

The staff called us on our cell phone when our table was ready. All of the staff were super friendly, and had excellent customer service. Another new thing was not physically handing out menus. We had to scan a barcode that was on the table from our cell phones and the menus popped up there. Although I wasn’t used to doing it that way, I have to admit that it was a really cool feature.

The menu had a wide variety of selections

available, including brunch, lunch, dinner, and a wide array of Vegan options. They also had beer, margaritas (frozen and on the rocks), as well as fountain and signature drinks. All the items were priced very reasonably. I don’t think anything on the menu was over $20.

Our food was absolutely AMAZING!! Everything was fresh, steaming hot, and seasoned to perfection. Our group ordered a variety of things from fried chicken to french toast. The portions they gave us were huge, so be mindful, because we ordered more food than we could eat. Lol!

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here, and I would recommend trying it if you live locally or in town visiting. I have included their address and website in the heading for your convenience. If you visit this location, please comment or email me to share your experience and your photos🙂🙂
