The Photograph -Blog Review

I saw this movie on the day it aired, Valentine's Day 2020. What a perfect date for a movie like this! I personally loved it for a number of reasons. Starring LaKeith Stanfield and Issa Rae, this is a layered story that I believe touches on a number of issues that many of us can relate to, no matter age, race, or gender. Although it is categorized as a romance, I really feel it is a story of healing and growth. The writers and directors really did an amazing job depicting how two individuals with very different backgrounds maneuver through their lives facing issues from their past and how it affected their decisions in their present lives. The cast did amazing jobs bringing the story to life and showing how those obstacles from their past affected their growth and ability to love in their adulthood. For all of my music lovers, you will be pleasantly surprised with the amazing soundtrack. It had all genres of music that was matched exceptionally well with making you FEEL those emotional scenes and smile at the lighthearted ones. I would recommend this movie to anyone that enjoys watching heartfelt stories with layered interpretations. Even though this a simple blog review and this is one of the blog sites that's fairly new, I hope that I am able to help someone to see a great movie, that might not have gone otherwise.
